We are looking for talented machine learning engineers and research scientists to join our AI team and help us grow quickly by applying cutting edge deep learning approaches to Natural Language Processing and our Knowledge Graph.

Main duties and responsibilities

You will contribute to build and refine our machine learning infrastructure, automatically extracting biological facts from millions of documents, organising the information in our Knowledge Graph and building novel reasoning methods to drive Healx drug repurposing efforts. Publications on major journals/conferences will be encouraged.

Skills and experience

You will be an experienced machine learning engineer or research scientist with a proven track record of building commercial application or publications of novel methods in at least one of these areas:

  • NLP and information extraction
  • Deep Learning applied to Knowledge Graph
  • Distributed Machine Learning


Essential requirements

  • An advanced degree (masters, PhD) in machine learning or related field
  • 3+ years of work experience in machine learning, artificial intelligence, natural language processing or related fields
  • Strong software development experience (preferably in Python)
  • Familiarity with major deep learning frameworks: Tensorflow, Pytorch, Keras, MXNet, possibly in a distributed environment.



  • Experience with distributed data and computing tools like Spark or Apache Beam.
  • Experience with python libraries like spacy and gensim
  • Experience or interest in applying deep learning to large graphs.
  • Experience using AWS and/or GCP cloud infrastructure
  • Familiarity with Docker and orchestration services like Kubernetes
